Our promise

Storybook Maltese respects your privacy. We collect only the information needed to answer inquiries, review prospective puppy homes, manage private reservations, protect the Control Room, and operate this app. We do not sell personal information or use it for third-party advertising.

Information you choose to provide

The app links to Storybook's official New Owner Questionnaire hosted by Jotform. Information entered there—including contact, household, housing, pet experience, lifestyle, and puppy-preference information—is submitted directly to Storybook's existing Jotform applicant database and is also subject to Jotform's Privacy Policy. This app does not maintain a second application database.

If an approved family later joins the private reservation list, Storybook may privately record the buyer name, puppy preference, deposit date and method, and placement notes. This app does not collect card or bank-account numbers and does not process online payments.

Information collected automatically

The app may receive ordinary technical information needed to deliver and secure a website, such as an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. If you choose notifications, the app stores a browser-generated subscription address, encrypted delivery keys, your selected update topics, and limited device/browser information needed to deliver and maintain notifications. Notification permission itself does not give Storybook your name, phone number, or email address. You may optionally provide a name and email so Storybook can recognize your subscribed device; anonymous subscriptions remain available, and that optional email does not enroll you in a separate email list. The private Control Room uses a secure session cookie after its owner signs in. The public app does not use advertising cookies or behavioral advertising.

How information is used

To review and respond to puppy inquiries.
To determine whether a prospective home may be a good fit.
To manage approved-family reservations and puppy placements privately.
To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
To comply with legal obligations or protect people, animals, and the service.

Service providers

Information may be processed by trusted services that host and operate the experience, including Jotform for the New Owner Questionnaire, Netlify for application hosting, and Supabase for database and photo storage. The Friday Fluff Report uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Sharing

Storybook does not publish questionnaire answers, reservation names, deposit details, private dog records, or Control Room information. Information may be shared with service providers as necessary to operate the app, when required by law, or with your direction.

Retention and security

Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, recordkeeping, dispute prevention, and legal obligations. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices

You can change notification topics or unsubscribe at any time on the Notifications page. Unsubscribing removes that device's subscription from Storybook. You may ask Storybook to review, correct, or delete information you submitted through Jotform by emailing storybookmaltese@yahoo.com. We may need to verify the request and may retain limited records when required for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Children

The questionnaire is intended for adults seeking information about a Storybook Maltese. Children should not submit personal information through the app.
